Elena & Marc
A pine ridge, a borrowed chapel, and the last hour of light over the Balearic Sea.
They wanted the sea in every frame and almost nothing else. We drove the ridge road at six in the morning to find out where the light would land, and came back at eight in the evening to meet it.

Morning, above the water
The chapel holds forty people and the doors stay open, so the ceremony ran to the sound of wind in the pines. Nobody moved to close them.

We forgot you were there, which I think was the point.

Dinner ran past midnight under a single strand of bulbs. The last frame of the night is Marc carrying his grandmother’s chair back up the hill.
