Rings and other small things

Somewhere between the hairdresser and the car there is a table with the rings, the letters, the perfume and a grandmother’s brooch on it. That table is worth ten minutes.

What to leave out

A detail frame works when it carries one idea. Two objects, a surface, and light coming from a single direction.

I did not know my own ring looked like that.

Set out the small things the night before. It buys back the whole morning.
