The half hour before
Getting-ready pictures that are not about the dress.
The half hour before a ceremony is the only part of a wedding day where nobody is performing. It is also the part most often photographed as a checklist.
Stay by the window
Find the light in the room, stand near it, and wait. Everything eventually comes to the window.
My mother has not stopped crying about the third one.
No posed shoes. No ring on a book.
